Instead of doing a ton of Christmas present shopping, I tend to use Black Friday mostly as an opportunity to stock up on my favorite consumable items (like skincare). I love getting items I use every day for a much lower price!
Here are some things I’m purchasing this year – items I’ve been waiting for to go on sale either as a stock up item, or a few items I’ve had on my list and have been waiting for a sale.
Biossance Skincare

Keen Kids Sneakers
A couple of my kiddos have outgrown their sneakers so we need some replacements. We love Keens because it’s really helpful having waterproof sneakers, especially for younger kiddos. (We always chose this even in California, but it’s especially helpful now in London!)
Keen is having a huge blowout with 25% off literally everything on their site, with many items 40-50% off. We’ve always done these shoes in the past but this time I’m really excited to try out their new lightweight, waterproof trail to blacktop sneaker.
Babelash Brow & Eyelash Serum
I’ve been using these serums for about a year to help out my brows and eyelashes that were way overplucked and that fell out after this pregnancy, respectively. The brows, especially, have been really struggling for over 15 years – I had them done before we got married and they never recovered. I’ve seen a huge improvement since I started using this serum and I’m so grateful!
For my eyelashes, I noticed that after giving birth to baby S, they started really falling out, along with my hair. They were so short, which was a bummer, because typically I have really long lashes. This serum has been a lifesaver and they’re almost fully recovered in just a short time.

I love the wrapping from Rifle Paper Co – such beautiful prints and a really nice weight. I can’t bear paying for it full price, so I always get it now. I especially love the Nutcracker wrapping!

Live Crude Skin Oil – 25% Off PLUS 20% Off
I’m very excited to stock up on my favorite cleansing oil. I love that it doesn’t dry out my skin and keeps it so clear and healthy. I’ve been using it as my cleanser for over two years and have had literally two zits in that time. TWO. It’s amazing and my skin feels so much better moisturized.

I got this necklace about 3 years ago and wore it ALL the time – like, slept in it, showered in it, traveled in it. Somehow on our 2 months in Asia this summer, the clasp got caught and I lost it and I’ve been missing it ever since. I’m excited to buy a new one while the whole site is 25% off.
Alice & Ames Dresses
I’ve loved Alice & Ames for years and years since they first started as a tiny small business. It’s been so fun to see them grow! We’ve owned many of their dresses previously and they’re the best for play and twirling. I saw this print several months ago, but it’s been sold out. A few more got stocked so I grabbed a couple for my two younger girls.
Athleta Lined Pants
I’ve written previously about how I’m obsessed with these pants for travel. The only issue is they’re rather thin so while I can (and will) layer them with base layers in cooler weather, for true cold I wanted something a little warmer. It turns out there’s a lined version, as well! I was hoping it would go on sale for Black Friday, so it’s been on my list to look for for weeks and weeks. I was delighted to pick up a pair! I also got a pair of these super comfy-looking trousers.
Quince Clothing
I’ve had this Quince cashmere hoodie on my list for Dan for Christmas for a couple months now. They have various daily deals so I’m really hoping it goes on sale, but even if not, it’s an incredible everyday price.
Madewell Jeans – 50% Off!
I’ve been anxiously waiting for Madewell jeans to go on sale. I’ve passed along about 5 pairs in the last month or so that fit me postpartum but don’t anymore, and I need several that will work for me now. Madewell has been my fave for jeans for almost a decade and I’m excited to have pants that fit!
Bubbsi Coconut Oil Balm
I’ve waxed poetic about how I’m obsessed with this coconut oil balm for my babies and even myself. So moisturizing, smells amazing, and super gentle. This is the lowest price they’ve done, so I’m stocking up on a few. Plus, it’s an Indian American woman-owned small business!
Clean Deodorant & Sunscreen – 30% off with code LPF30
My favorite deodorant and sunscreen are clean and work super well. The deodorant has a slight fragrance and is great for sensitive skin, so it works awesome for my teens, but is a little pricey so I’m getting several now when on sale. The Sunglow sunscreen is my absolute favorite for it’s pretty rosiness and fantastic mineral coverage that doesn’t leave a white cast.
If you’re in a buggy area (or traveling to one, this deet-free insect repellent works so well and smells really good. The insect repellent wipes are perfect for travel (and to tuck into a stocking).

I’ve used this mascara for years and it’s the very best. A stock up item for me! A cult favorite for a reason.
